WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY CHILDREN?

Faith Space offers a theme-based approach to making the Bible and our faith values come alive for our young people. Children ages 4 and up have their classes during the 11:00 a.m. worship time. Faith Space includes a tent for Circle and Story Time, a stage for performances, and an arts and crafts area. Active, hands-on learning helps children to understand important concepts such as justice, compassion, and service while also building caring relationships with one another.

Nursery care is available at both services for the very young ones.

I began my ministry at UCT in March 2010, after serving a UCC church in Central Pennsylvania for ten years. My core values as a pastor are these:

I believe that each person is unique and valuable. It is the will of God that every person belongs to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.

I believe that each person is on a spiritual journey and that each of us is at a different stage of that journey.

I believe in the “possibility of people.” In the UCC, members, congregations, and structures have the breathing room to explore and to hear ... for after all, God is still speaking.

We are a church that takes Jesus’ command to “love one another” seriously. We are a welcoming church, open and affirming to the LGBT community and accessible to all who seek to worship with us and join the journey of faith. We expect diversity and look for it in people and ideas. We believe that “God is still speaking” and that every person is loved by God and worthy to be an active, vibrant, and generous participant in the Body of Christ, the church.
