What About 5th Sundays?

WHAT ABOUT 5TH SUNDAYS?

We celebrate Worship together in a single service at 10am in months where there is a 5th Sunday. Faith Space and nursery care are offered at this joint service. It gives us an opportunity to praise God together as one faith family. Worship is followed by a potluck luncheon to which visitors are cordially invited. 5th Sundays mean food, fun, family, and fellowship.

I began my ministry at UCT in March 2010, after serving a UCC church in Central Pennsylvania for ten years. My core values as a pastor are these:

I believe that each person is unique and valuable. It is the will of God that every person belongs to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.

I believe that each person is on a spiritual journey and that each of us is at a different stage of that journey.

I believe in the “possibility of people.” In the UCC, members, congregations, and structures have the breathing room to explore and to hear ... for after all, God is still speaking.

A Welcome To All

We are a church that takes Jesus’ command to “love one another” seriously. We are a welcoming church, open and affirming to the LGBT community and accessible to all who seek to worship with us and join the journey of faith. We expect diversity and look for it in people and ideas. We believe that “God is still speaking” and that every person is loved by God and worthy to be an active, vibrant, and generous participant in the Body of Christ, the church.
