Sunday Nov. 18 Worship in The Manner of The Pilgrims
We will celebrate Thanksgiving by having a traditional Pilgrim Service on Sunday, November 18, at our 11:00AM worship service. The sanctuary will be the “Meeting House” The special service is designed to evoke the days of our Congregational forebears, the Pilgrims. The service will include a Thanksgiving Proclamation, prayers and the singing of Psalm 100 and others by “lining out” (without hymnals or musical accompaniment.) “The Pilgrim “ Beadle” will circulate throughout the service with long poles to tickle or poke sleeping worshippers! We will meet in the UCT parking lot at 10:45am & “don” a Pilgrim hat and collar.
In the spirit of thanksgiving, a special offering of non-perishable food for the Pastor’s Pantry will be taken.
We will be celebrating Thanksgiving with praise at our 9am service.
Come, join us this weekend to give thanks for all that God has blessed you with!
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night. Psalm 92:1-2
